Find My Past Ireland

Findmypast Ireland is now available for family history researchers at Yarra Plenty Regional Library.

Search for your Irish ancestors in one of the world's most comprehensive collections of Irish family history records. These include over 3.5 million crime and legal records, almost 2 million names in directories and almanacs, one million BMD records, exclusive land and estate records, as well as census substitutes, travel and migration records, and the names and details of the Irish who fought in wars and rebellion.

This database is in-library use only and is available via the website at :
www.yprl.vic.gov.au - Research - Genealogy - Genealogy e-resources
on every PC in every branch library.

There will be an information session on the database for the Family History Fest program at Diamond Valley Library on Wed March 28 2012 1.30pm - 2.30 pm.

There is also a new list for researchers to access "Researching your Irish Family History" available on the website which includes books and websites to also assist with your research in Ireland.
