Family History Fest
The popular family history fest program resumes at Diamond
Valley Library this month. Family
history researchers are invited to meet at the library on the last Wednesday of
every month at 1.30 pm and listen to a topic of interest and connect with other
genealogists.
Meet Barb Hawkins of the Port Phillip Pioneers Group who
will present a short history of settlers to Victoria before 1851 and provide
tips on researching in the Port Phillip District.
Wednesday 27 March – Australian BDM Records
Genealogist Ann Dixon will provide advice on acquiring the
essential births, deaths and marriage records for your Australia family
history.
Wednesday 24 April – British Army in Australia 1788-1870
Genealogist Grahame Thom will shed light on researching the
career of British soldiers who served in Australia before 1870. Learn how to find the regiment they served
in, regimental records and other relevant army information.
