Using the web to mark milestones

An interesting story from The Age today. Public Notice Online is also being launched today.

"In the jargon, they're called ''hatches, matches and dispatches'', the public notices about births, marriages and deaths that chronicle the milestones of our lives...

But, says Nicole Haliday, a Melbourne web entrepreneur, many people today live globally: ''Born in Melbourne, married in London, motherhood in San Francisco and so on. They need to tell the world about their life events.''

So Nicole has launched the site. I wonder if she is a family history researcher? Would you use the site?
